Relational Art through a Sewing Course (2024–2025)

Intertwined Hands is a textile and relational project born within sewing courses designed as spaces for learning, encounter, and active listening. People from different parts of the world took part in this journey, bringing with them a diverse tapestry of languages, histories, and cultural backgrounds. The process unfolded through shared moments where participants chose words and phrases that represented them—in Italian, Spanish, and English—transforming them into stitched symbols upon the fabric.

Sewing thus became a slow, collective practice, capable of fostering dialogue, trust, and the building of relationships across diverse cultures. Learning to sew also meant learning to share one’s own story and listen to the other, constructing a sense of community through manual making. The final installation is the result of this human and creative journey: a weave of threads and voices that makes the process of encounter visible, envisioning art as a tool for connection and territorial transformation.
