Dorian Gray

Vanity operates as a bottomless pit. There is an emotion of chronic insufficiency: nothing is enough to fulfill self-love. Youth, approval, and perfection are coveted. The obsessive desire to maintain a perfect symmetry and control over the gaze of the other is born from a visceral dread of ceasing to exist for everyone else. If the environment stops looking at you or desiring you, the mirror shatters, leaving you alone with the void. Simulation is the Shadow’s survival strategy to ensure no one leaves and no one discovers the fragility of the self. Beneath narcissism lies no excess of self-love, but quite the contrary. The Shadow hides a devastating feeling of inadequacy and self-loathing. The internal rot is, in reality, the accumulated weight of that shame hidden behind the mask. 

Whispers of the Void

A dull vibration where certainty once lived. The void is not empty; it is thick with a suffocating uncertainty, a white whisper that dissolves all forms and strips the self of its center—for there is no center. It is the torment of the unnameable: meaninglessness suspended in the twilight, where gravity becomes more powerful and the body grows heavy, heavy, heavy…

Trauma of a child

There are memories that do not remain in the mind, but in the body. They fold into gesture, into distance, into what we learned to keep silent. Childhood does not always leave visible traces; sometimes it becomes a silent presence that accompanies every movement, suspended between memory and forgetting.

There are childhoods that learn silence before play, and bodies that, even in mid-air, still carry the weight of what is invisible.

Mutating

To destroy, to disintegrate, to cancel. Mutating is not a peaceful transition; it is a necessary assault against the stable forms of the ego. This photograph captures the violence of change, the raw pain of a transformation that wounds because it demands the absolute loss of what we believed ourselves to be. For the Shadow to be integrated, the previous structure must be dismantled piece by piece. Metamorphosis is not always straightforward; it is a tearing process, a deliberate disintegration where the self breaks, cancels itself, and reconstructs in the twilight of conflict. Changing hurts because it demands dying to oneself.

Intuition

There is no shadow without light. When the noise of the world is silenced and reason is canceled, the self is forced to look inward. There is an incorruptible certainty that survives the chaos of the psyche, a latent lucidity that can neither be extinguished nor ignored. It is the pulse inhabiting the core, a blind beacon that requires no eyes to guide through the twilight. Intuition is the ultimate resistance: the constant reminder that, even within the densest and most untamed territory of the Shadow, a single ignited coordinate always remains, pulling us back to the source.

FIRE RAGE

I feel the hot blood, it condenses, the body tenses. There is no mercy in the temple when containment becomes unbearable and the wound turns to ash. Attention: you can burn it all down. Anguish, disillusionment, frustration… explode, explode, explode!

DELIRIUM TREMENS

The sacred trembling of the flesh when stripped of its anesthesia. Though the term originally names the abyss of a fatal withdrawal, this piece meditates on the delirium of any tether: the physical and the emotional. It is the chronicle of the ghost that remains when what once sustained our identity is violently torn away. To depend is to bargain with a parasitic god; delirium is the fever of a self attempting to relearn how to breathe alone in the open weather of its own emptiness.

panic

The absolute distortion of internal space. Panic is the instant when the psyche ceases to be a refuge and becomes a wall-less trap. It is not fear of the external, but the hostility of the invisible manifesting when the certainties that sustained reality suddenly vanish. A hostile geometry where the center cannot be found and the environment becomes suffocating, alien, and boundless. It is consciousness stripped of its gravity, floating in the imminence of an infinite fall into the depths of the self.

THE IMPOSTOr

Looking in the mirror and seeing a monster, a useless parasite. A silent violence we inflict upon ourselves, devaluing every fragment of our identity. Faith is lost, leaving no space to believe in who you are, or in what you can achieve; there is only the crushing weight of feeling unworthy of love, or of success. An relentless internal dialogue that forces you to diminish yourself, to shrink, and to sabotage your own path before anyone else can. Self-sabotage as a self-inflicted punishment, the blind response of a self that feels like a deception and decides to mutilate its own existence.

ANXIETY

Time distorted and space shrinking. It is not a real danger, but the imminence of a nameless catastrophe devouring the present. The air grows dense, the pulse quickens in the void, and the mind becomes a labyrinth of distorted mirrors where tomorrow lurks like an invisible executioner. It is the body trapped in its own echo, a rope stretched to its limit, vibrating under the weight of an illusory collapse.

PARANOIA

The walls have eyes and the silence whispers accusations. It is not fear; it is the absolute certainty that the environment is lurking and the entire world has become the enemy. Face to face with the threat, the truce is broken: the body becomes a reinforced fortress, a shield of thorns standing firm against the siege. Not a single step back. It is the violent pulse of one who finds themselves surrounded and chooses hostility as their only salvation, ready to strike before being struck.
