PHOTOGRAPHY, ONE OF MY GREAT PASSIONS
When I was studying fashion, my mother gave me my first camera. At the time, I had no idea how much that gift would come to accompany me.
From then on, I started taking photographs and, little by little, I learned how to look. In 2014, I took a fashion photography course and created my first portfolio. It was an important experience because it allowed me to gain knowledge, experiment and, above all, gain confidence in something I already felt was a part of me.
I am not a professional photographer, nor have I had formal academic training in photography. I took that one course and then continued learning through practice, observation, mistakes, and the need to find my own way of telling a story.
Since then, I have never stopped taking photographs.
I particularly enjoy photographing people. There is something that deeply interests me in that encounter: observing them, finding what makes them unique, and trying to reveal, through an image, something of their beauty, their strength or their inner world.
I am also drawn to conceptual and fashion photography. I enjoy constructing images, working with the body, presence, gestures, objects, and everything a photograph can suggest without having to explain everything.
Over time, photography has become much more than a passion. It is one of the languages I use in my projects and a tool that has accompanied me for many years.
It has also been a way of documenting my processes, preserving moments, recording encounters, and looking again at what was happening.
I don’t know if I will ever define myself as a photographer. For now, I know that photography is part of the way I see the world.
