LUXEMBURGO ART PRIZE
The journey with «Fosa común» didn’t end with the Artecámara Tutor exhibition. The conceptual weight of the piece and its inquiry into affective memory kept opening doors, this time on the international stage. In 2017, I had the opportunity to participate in the Luxembourg Art Prize, an annual global platform organized by La Pinacothèque in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg under the leadership of collector Hervé Lancelin. The prize seeks to highlight emerging and established creators from around the world regardless of discipline or age, connecting contemporary practices with European collection and critique.
On September 25, 2017, I presented «Fosa común» as part of a group exhibition featuring eleven artists of different nationalities. It was a deeply enriching experience for my career, not only because it brought this investigation into intimate conflict and the bounds of toxic love into an international setting, but also because of the opportunity to engage in dialogue with such diverse aesthetic perspectives. Exhibiting the work there reaffirmed that the dynamics of human vulnerability and domestic suffering transcend any geographical border.
